Sharjah Animation Conference - Zoetrope

Zoetrope

For the Sharjah Animation Conference, Dadomani conceived and built a four level zoetrope, designed as a kinetic art piece that merges craftsmanship and technology.
The main character, the festival mascot, travels through four Japan inspired locations, moving from one level to the next until it symbolically enters the final logo, within a continuous, circular narrative build.
All three dimensional elements were resin printed using 3D technology, then hand painted and assembled with obsessive care for detail, texture, and finish, while selected backgrounds were animated in 2D.
The result is a seamless meeting of traditional techniques and contemporary tools. An ingenious object that celebrates real motion, material, and light, showing how innovation can emerge from the union of hands, design, and technology.
