Bayer - Cardio Emotion

Commercial

For Bayer, in collaboration with the agency Different, we created a film celebrating 125 years of dedication to heart health, alongside people, doctors, and researchers.
The project is built on a simple, powerful idea: the heart is not only a vital organ, it is also the center of our emotions. The story unfolds through a single continuous one-take shot, with the camera traveling through suspended, symbolic environments, each shaped around an emotion that becomes the driving force behind both the narrative and the pursuit of research. The same invisible forces that move those who care for the heart every day, and that live within all of us.
From a production perspective, Bayer embraced a tactile, real-world approach, built through physical construction, lighting, and practical effects, to bring a more human and personal layer to the film. We designed the project to be as tangible as possible: the camera movement was executed in motion control, allowing millimetric precision across fully built sets and maintaining continuity throughout a seamless journey.
Each environment was created through a combination of materials, techniques, and practical effects: a Tesla coilgenerating real lightning, backlit liquids to achieve “lava” effects, real miniature plants and flowers, cotton clouds enhanced with subtle post-production. The hearts are physical objects as well, 3D printed or hand-sculpted, designed to be lit, passed through, and experienced by the camera.
The result is a dreamlike, evocative visual experience where techniques and languages merge into a film that doesn’t aim to explain, but to make you feel. A complex, intense project we deeply loved bringing to life.
