The Basketball Apples
“The Basketball Apples” is a new episode of the Consilia Talent Show series, where products become the stars of small animated performances. This time, the spotlight is on apples: an energetic, tight-knit team that turns the court into a dynamic set designed to entertain and surprise.
The episode preserves all the elements that define the series’ visual identity: stop motion at its core, an essential color palette, and a minimal yet refined aesthetic built on clean geometry and carefully crafted graphic choices. A consistent visual language that makes Talent Show instantly recognizable, episode after episode.
The main challenge of this chapter was technical: managing a large number of animated elements simultaneously. With many animation supports (rigs) in play, the choreography required precise planning of trajectories and space to avoid interfering movements, visual overlaps, and unnecessary complexity in post-production cleanup. At the same time, it was crucial to build a clear, readable game dynamic—maintaining rhythm and harmony in the bounces and interactions, without risking a chaotic feel.
The final result is an energetic, lightweight episode where precision and craftsmanship translate into believable, fluid motion. Once again, stop motion proves its ability to bring authenticity and poetry even to the most complex actions.
The Climbing Stracciatella
The Consilia Talent Show series continues with a new episode set in the mountains, except these are no ordinary mountains: mountains of ice cream. Starring in this chapter are brave little chocolate pieces, a team of climbers determined to reach the summit and top the entire fior di latte base. A sweet, playful adventure told with the light tone that defines the series.
The episode stays true to the Talent Show visual identity: a minimal, clean, and refined aesthetic built with consistency and attention to detail. The technique remains the same as well: stop motion is once again at the core, enhancing the tangible nature of the products and bringing credibility and warmth to every shot.
The main challenge this time was all about material and texture: recreating a large volume of ice cream with a hyper-real look, faithful to the texture and appeal of the real product, yet stable under the warm set lights and able to stay visually “fresh” throughout long stop-motion shooting sessions. The same applied to the chocolate pieces: they had to look authentic without melting in the animator’s hands during frame-by-frame animation.
The final result balances realism and control, enabling smooth motion and a highly photogenic finish, an episode where material becomes storytelling, and stop motion brings even “consistency” to life.
